| The hotel is in a lovely setting in the University grounds with plenty of nice walks. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The rooms are in the new part of the hotel and are very comfortable. We had a lovely dinner in the restaurant and there was plenty of selection in the breakfast buffet. Lovely porridge! A very relaxed atmosphere in the hotel if you wanted to sit and chill out with a coffee or a drink. |

| The hotel is within walking distance of the town centre but set within the huge grounds of the former Crichton Hospital - now a university campus. The new part of the building houses the bedrooms and the old part the public areas - reception, dining room, bar, etc.
Contemporary furnishings made the bedroom light and comfortable and we had a sound sleep.
Only criticism would be that the self-serve breakfast was a bit disorganised - not a large dining area and although there were plenty of staff we waited for a free table, waited for tea & toast and waited for a selection of food from the hot buffet. You can ask for porridge, scrambled & poached eggs to order as part of the set price but no one informed us of this.
Overall however pleasant enough stay. |

| Reception staff were fantastic!!!!
Disappointed that I had to wait a good while for the buffet breakfast to be replenished, waiting staff did request for it to be topped up for me but it seemed to take forever..
Over all very enjoyable. |
